Closed for mid year break
We will be closed from 5pm Tuesday the 18th of July, and will re-open at 8am Friday the 4th of August for our mid year break.
Jeff the owner
After opening the business in 1975 “Formerly Cairns Landrover Specialists”, The owner Jeff just can’t seem to fully retire. Well after 40 years it’s hard just to put down the tools and retire. He is now leaving the business up to his son Justin to run.

Intercooler Hose
Had a defender come in with a hissing noise while accelerating. After an inspection found an intercooler hose had a big split in it. Thought the hose would last longer than 4 years as the Landy was only built in 2012.

I’m just back from “Cape York” Why must I (6×6 Landrover) and my owner be the one to pull “modern 4×4” out of “bogs”? Excuse my condition the mud is deep on the way to the “Tip of Cape York” (quoted by the customer)
How to check your tyre pressures
Look for the valve stem which usually comes out of your wheel/ rim. Remove the plastic or metal cap. Firmly press the Tyre pressure gauge onto the valve and read the pressure. (You can find cold Tyre inflation pressures in the owners handbook or they usually have a sticker on…
Wading plug
Don’t forget to put your wading plugs in if you plan driving through water otherwise your timing housing and flywheel housing might look a little like this………rusty.
